2 September 2007 12days to go
At 7am went to collect my peanut butter in Glen Norah area ahead the coming film production. Bought about 7bottles enough to last for two weeks of our production. My Aunt Voice came and we had a long conversation. We talked about girl guides, Machapro, welcome performance for Robin Truesdale. It was nice seeing her after a long time. She is a vibrant woman, with great passion for children especially for girl child.
I had two friends who visited me Munya and Grace. All came to hear about the progress of the film project. These guys are in support and always there to give all the love, support and ideas for the project. I always feel encouraged each time they remind me that I am special and could be everyone I want if I work hard. These are same people who always fuel us to move on with life and see light ahead our goals and ambition.
I had an argument with Talent my friend on some logistics work. I do not know why he likes this game of arguing. I can not afford to be hard on him, he is my friend for heaven sake.
Went for Internet and checked my mails and Robin had written three email to me. She opened a web log page for me http/tumbukafootprints.wordpress.com. She had found another option for visa J-1 visa type. Something positive to work on.
1 September 2007 13days to go
Early in the morning I had to go collect money to for the car we are hiring with Robin, to use for the film production. I had hard time waiting for the guy who was to bring money for me .I had to wait to an extent that I could not meet the scheduled time for the Tumbuka crew’s meeting at home. The meeting went as planned, we had a vibrant discussion on Tumbuka project and another small film we intend to shoot. The meeting lasted for about 2hours.
I also received an email from Robin concerning my US visa. She advised me on looking on line concerning visitors visa requirements. Phoned her in the evening and we talked about our Tumbuka project and way forward for the Visa. Hope things will works in a positive way. It’s not easy in Zimbabwe for young man to be granted a visa to the US. A lot is required and thereby making the process difficult. Thank goodness we have the project its self to bring happiness to me and then if by chance I get a visa its another story all together.
It was good day after all, a lot of Tumbuka business. All feels well and even more exciting as days move fast to our film production and being with Robin in Zimbabwe.
